Gar feeding,but when to stop???

Our spotted gar has been growing end eating very good
He likes handfeeding and frequently surching the grounds for food.
He is begging for more everytime anyone is near the tank.
I use to feed him 1frozen 1.1/2 or 2" fish. But now he is begging for more. Fed im another one and he eat just what he gets.

Should i continu give him several small fish a day or is it time to switch over to bigger feeders? Got feeders 3-5". My gar is 10"plus now.

Any ideas or solusions are apreciated.
ps. I can always cut the bigger fish in little ones LOL
i am always afraid my gar will chocke.

bigger fish. or more smaller fish. i feed mine alot. but then again my florida grew from 1.5" to nearly 16"(a little over 15" at the moment, not quite 16") in about 9 mounths.

What did their diet consist of?

feeders. lots and lots of feeders. rosy, comets, guppies, neons and glowlight tetras.

Didn't the neons and glowlights get expensive? Or were they accidental feeders?
