Gar Folk, Please Help ID this Gar

I received this fish back in a trade and he has quickly become a favorite. Not a typical Florida Gar as seen in the last 2 pics.

As E_Americanus said it's a longnose gar. It will be interesting to see how it's marking develop.

I think it is a marble garpike cichlid... Just like the ID stickys say..

What size is your longnose gar?

Mine is about 37" now and was 34 1/2" when measured in Feb 2010.
