gar found dead T_T

As the title suggests i found my (i beileve) florida gar lying on the bottem of my fish tank, dead. The part thats making me mad and sad is that i have no idea what happened to him. He was alive and well this morning but when i went into my room to finish feeding my oscar (in a seperate tank) i saw my gar. Do any of you have any idea what might hav happened to him? (Btw his tanks mates are a senegal bichir and a tire-track eel, he was about 2 1/2-2 3-4inches long, i also did a large water change soon after i saw he was dead)

sorry for yr loss, i had a similiar one recently, and it sucked.

well it could either be the water contamination( i've seen many posts recently abt fish dying due to this), or perhaps he(just like mine) panicked(due to the water change, or just because young gars are skittish) and rammed himself into something, injuring his spinal column and killing himself.

that's my input, not sure if it was accurate, but there u go.
