I don't know what to do about a week and a half ago i bought an alligator gar along with two peacock bass. When i bought them they were all 1.5 inchs....I have them in the same tank however the gar seems to have double in size and will very shortly be able to eat my peacock bass....Is anyone interested in buying a 3 inch alligator gar? gimme some offers if you are.

hey Rob,

that sucks so bad. .Maybe you could put a divider in the tanks for now...

man.. wish my big one grew like that

rob, sell the pbass instead. They are great fish but available than a gator gar.

I'm guessing you're planning to give the gator to a public aquarium or something eventually anyway?

Pbass are in my experience quite slow growing.

lucky you. I would bag it up and take it to the pet store and in my experence it takes so much time to bag it and puts the fish in alot of stress they will take it back.

I know what you mean... I have the same thing but i bought my p.bass a month before and the gar seem to have doubled or more in the time I have had them. Right now Im not too worried I had them seperated in two differnt tanks but had to move both to a larger tank for now. I would wait and see. P bass are easier to come by I would hold onto your gar.

the bass should start growing fast... depending what your feeding them and how much?

My bass has grown 11" in only 8 months

thats alot of growing (whats up with your avatar toxic?)hahha.....

where you live rob... i might be interested in getting it!..PM me

To be honest i like my peacock bass more cuz i got them first , plus this is the first time in two years of fish keeping that i have seen peacock bass so i plan to keep them until i get my bigger tank
