Hi so I know some people have said these are gator gar in a previous thread but I just want to be sure so I'll post as many pictures as I can iv been looking online to try and if them but am getting mixed opinions currently got them feeding on hikari pellets had them 4 days know so hopefully they bulk up thanks for any advise given

Yeah that's absolutely an Alligator Gar. No doubt. Sorry/congratulations.

Please help me id these gar too , these are the photos the seller sent me said that they are Australian spotted car but to me they look like alligator gar, want to know what gar they are before buying20171118_220323.jpg

It won't be too soon they reach a size not fit for most keepers. In the wild they take an average of ten years to reach five foot. By that time you'll like have a large enough pond to keep them in. Such a neat and docile species
