ok when i first got these guys 2 months ago, they were only about 4" and both had the same color pattern, well as of now ones is differen't then the other, i know ones a spotted but what is the other (florida maybe). the spotted is alot fatter and is easy to ID, the other is slender with differen't patterns. ill let you guys chime in on what the possible ID is for this fella. either or hes dope and they both love shrimp

although the first one has an unusual pattern, given their high variability, i would say both fish are Florida gars.--

Yup, I agree. Florida gars have a variety of color patterns. Florida's and spotted gars are so simular that it is possible that both are spotted. However in the tropical fish industry they are pretty much all Florida gars that are being sold. Very nice fish. Most likely Florida gars. I have two florida gars as well. Both have different color patterns, ones fatter, and one is a little more blue next to his greener friend.
