Gar in 125?

hey guys, i have a 125g that is empty, im wondering if any species of gar would be suitable for this size tank? let me know what you think! thanks

Some of the upper jaw bichirs would be a good option, they may not look too bad but there is a thread on here with a pic of a doa congicus that made me think twice about getting to close to mine. A common wolf would be ok but they.are pretty sedentary. A fahaka may do alright and they have great personalities. It really is all up to you and what your looking for in a fish

They are pretty cool fish and you can add tankmates with them

Just so you know, gars are out for you even if you get a larger aquarium as they're banned in your state.

Many fish stores sell multiple species of gar. long and short beak, spotted, florida, and alligator gars are available here. I come across them many times a month.

Just because a store has true gars for sale doesn't make them legal; it just means that the store hasn't gotten caught yet. Check out the stickies for more info on gar legality.
