Gar injury, advice needed please

I got back from ACA (gone 5 days with the fish not being fed) and I think one of my endlis took a chunk out of my gar. He is swimming fine, eating well, and otherwise ok. Advice for treatment? I already did a 50% water change and will be doing that daily until he is recovered. I cannot tell if this is a secondary infection/fungus or if its just shredded finnage. Its only one fin. Pics:

Hey rachel. Just add salt and bump up temp. looks like it will be fine. Prob no scarring. Trop is looking nice BTW. Gotta pm u soon. gonna need some MTS, ramshorn and any other prolific feeder snail and some assasins at prob around the end of the month or just after.

as LP said, add salt and bump temp. do not use meds on gar btw. should heal up in no time, and jealous of the t-gar!

yea, i didn't even do all that. I just did a large volume water change and decided to monitor for a day or two and by then it was mostly healed. Within a week, couldn't see anything had every happened. Thanks for the compliments, love my gar!
