my gar was attacked by one of my fishes during the night..this is the first time such an incident has happened. i have put the gar in another tank and the temp is 25 degrees centigrade. do i need to add salt as well?

my gar had a similar injury last month.
all i did was bump up the temperature, add some aquarium salt, and he has almost fully recovered. it takes a while though.

he seems to be fine except for a little swimming problems which is understood. i am not sure if salt has to be added or not? is the temp at 25 degrees centigrade fine?

that's about 78 fahrenheit, so yeah, its about right. if its an injury, then salt will not be necessary, though there is the risk of infection which you might want to consider...

so basically, you might want to add some salt to prevent infection.

dont worry it will regrow
