my gar was attacked by one of my fishes during the night..this is the first time such an incident has happened. i have put the gar in another tank and the temp is 25 degrees centigrade. do i need to add salt as well?

my gar had a similar injury last month.
all i did was bump up the temperature, add some aquarium salt, and he has almost fully recovered. it takes a while though.

that's about 78 fahrenheit, so yeah, its about right. if its an injury, then salt will not be necessary, though there is the risk of infection which you might want to consider...

no prob. U should see my gar sometimes. they will take almost the entire tail off of one of the others. they grow back without any added salt, and do just fine. cant even tell a difsmartlove_518;4650172; said:
