So I was feeding my 2 gar (1florida, 1alligator) before I went out for a smoke and when I came back I noticed some dammage near his mouth. Now I'm probably being overly cautious but I figured I'd check in if theirs anything I need to worry about with this sort of dammage.

Looks very superficial. Would just watch it and keep ur water clean.

that's a superficial wound. my pickerel get that all the time because they accidently jawlock eachother trying to get the same piece of tilapia. It will heal in time.

I live in Wisconsin but nice never seen one. I catch northern pike and musky but never those little guys. I read somewhere that they live here but never in all my years of fishing have I ever seen one.

you'll most likely never see them if you aren't looking. at best they get around 10" long mostly, and hide in/near the edges of lakes and ponds. catching them is unlikely too unless again you are fishing specifically for them. small, flashy silver lures work but you have to know where to cast. these guys aren't like their big cousins pike and musky lol they are considered food to a lot of other NA fish. Bass, walleye and yellow perch destroy these guys.
