Gar species?

i know, kind of hard to see in those pics... look at the snouts, the one on left is more shorter and broader than the others gars. spotting pattern is also different.

There is a great article on Gars in the October issue of Tropical Fish Hobbyist
 
looks to be a spotted gar, Florida gars have spots on the fins, if I remember.
And gator gars have a double row of teeth.
 
might be a gator gar, broad snout, two rows of sharp teeth. better pics?

:confused: I don't think this is true.

Infact, there are very little difference between floridas and spotted gars. for all I know, those fish farms could be cross breeding them.

Even the gar experts may have a hard time telling the two apart from just a few pictures.

However, I believe it's been established that spotted gars have shorter pointier snouts in comparison.
