Gar stung by ray

My marble has tagged my 12" gar in its lower jaw pouch, looks like a nasty wound but the gar seems fine. I think i can still see some of the sheath from the spine in the wound, what should/can i do for it? What are the chances of it surviving?

got any pics? i would assume he should be fine if the venom didnt reach the bloodstream which it might not have in the jaw. but keep an eye on it and i wouldnt put money i my assumption. GL and pls post some pics...

The sheath being in their is fine.. it will fall out eventually.

Chances of it surviving are high, as long as you keep the water prestine. Keep an eye on the gar and see if it acts any differently in the days to come.

should be ok. keep water very clean

i only lost fish when they were stung in the eye.

Yeh it seems fine, it ate today, the barb whent right through its bottom jaw into the top one lol.

Heres the attacker, an absolute terror tries to kill everything, couldnt get a pic worth posting of the gar though.
