No. Minimum I would personally go would be 6 x 2.5 x 2, around 3 - 3.5 times the length of the average Florida gar length, although a better tank size would be at 8 feet lengthwise.I apologize in advance if this is a redundant question and I should have done more reading into the pinned messages (which is probably the case) lol.
However, I just gotta know, would a 150 gallon (L "48 x W "24 1/2 x H "31") would be big enough to fit a smaller Florida gar?
Personal opinion, I think you'd be fine. Gars don't really swim alot. They tend to cruise in one spot mostly. Not to mention most florida gars in the hobby are captive bred. if you are starting it out from baby/young size, you'd be lucky to get a 20"+ specimen in few years.I apologize in advance if this is a redundant question and I should have done more reading into the pinned messages (which is probably the case) lol.
