Hi Guys,

I just thoufgt I would share my Gars with you all
I believe I have 5 Florida Gars but I could be wrong as 2 of them have completly different markings.

Also I have attached some shots of one of the Gars that jumped out of the net when I first put him into the tank just over a week ago, He developed cloudy eye the next day and has been the same since.
I do 30% water change weekly and have been adding aquarium salt with each change. Is there anything else I can do as the eye doesnt seem to be improving.
His appetite is great and he is swimmimg around fine its just that this one eye is cloudy.

The eye could have been damaged when he fell out of the net, im no fish doctor, but seems like a reasonable assumption. Best of luck to you and your gars.

Give him time.. be careful not ot over-do the Salt.. osmotic shock can do more damage then good...imo I'de do more water changes and lay off the salt. Good clean water will fix the issue far faster then "medicating"... just keep an eye out for a bacterial infection and treat accordingly IF you see signs.. atm he looks Ok. Nice chunkers.
