What species? there are seven of them... of those seven there is a wide variance in husbandry from species to species. One can not answer this question unless you clarify what fish you may be interested in, how big it is when you intend to get it and a host of other things...

Difference could be 2 years to a month or so.... There are too many variables to answer this question for you.

Gars really can not be pigeonholed to an easy formula...

simply put. you cant put a gar thats to small in there and you cant any gar for life ina 95g.
