Gar with Arapaima?

Could my 23" gar be with my 15"-16" arapaima?

I'de give the pima another few weeks seperated.. should let it get as big or bigger then the gar... better safe then sorry. Gators can and will shred any tank-mate potentially though, so I woulnd't mix anything you wouldn't be heartbroken over loseing w/ a gator.
