Gar with Pacus

How large can a pacu grow?

I have read 3' somewhere, but never seen one that big. I am planning a 350g tank and wanted Pacus as well...i think i changed my mind as i think the 350 will be a little small. Not sure yet, but so little people have large pacus that it's hard to get info on them...

i used to have a gar, we got along great with my oscars, never saw a single fight, but man could he eat, i thought oscars were pigs!

From what I have read, you almost need a pond to keep a pacu for any length of time. Pacus and glass don't work well together.

Had a 11" Pacu and a 17" gar I was feeding them goldfish and the gar snap up one and the Pacu saw the goldfish in his mouth and the pacu went for it and bit his whole bottom jaw off the gar lived for a couple of days I got rid of the pacu
