So I've had my Florida gar for nearly a month and he didn't eat anything til a week ago I broke down n bought feeders. Well, just now I threw in some massivore sinking pellets ( which he usually ignores) and he ate 4 of them!!!! Idk why but it just got me super pumped!!!

They say that starvation is not the key. It's either imitation or you make them hungry but not to a point you starve them. Now I am happy for you but you still owe me pictures!

Congrats ive seen this be the case with a few gars where it wasnt as much as starving as much they dont get food for a while then u toss a feeder or too which gets them excited that theres food now then you toss a pellet. They are usually so amped at the wave of incoming food they go for anything.

Also I wasn't trying to starve it I tried tilapia and shrimp and an assortment of pellets and he would never eat any if it. So I bought the feeders, he ate. It's been 3 days since
He ate those I fed my other fish before I went to sleep last night and he ate the massivore. So lets hope
He just keeps eating it
