Hi, new member to the forum however I have been reading the posts here for some time. Picking up tips and hits etc.
Since i am *almost* there on my pond build I thought id share my build with you.

I have approx 60 photos detailing the entire build to where it currently stands today. (new photos 1 or 2 will be added in the next few days as a finish up the loose ends)

Let me know your thoughts.

Oh almost forgot, it is currently home to 10 fish.
2 x 8" Golden Orfe
2 x 6" shunkinbuns (spelling?)
1 x 6" White Goldfish
1 x 6" Orange Goldfish
4 x 6" Red Goldfish

Joining them in the spring will be my pride and joys! Mixed Grade A Koi Carp. Currently 2 months old and in a grow out vat in my living room! (below my 6ft Aquarium...might show you photos of that another time)

Well, here is the link, it on my Facebook.. makes adding new photos easy. 1 link for all. ;-p

Very nice work, you've put some quality time in on it and it shows :headbang2

You might as well post details on the viewing window as I can hear members typing about it now .

And how about filling us in on the filtration and such too.;)

Thanks for sharing and keep us updated.

I built the 4 walls as seperate units indoors to keep out the damp etc whilst i was working. these were bolted down to the edge of the pond decking with 4 inch screws into the support beams underneath. screws were added every few inches to ensure the walls had no 'give' in them.
The window wall was contructed by creating a box from 2x2 with upright support beams at the point where the window would overlap slightly.
the overlap section was chiseld away 6mm to ensure the plexiglass was flush to the wooden frame. Silicon was added between the plexiglass and the wood and left overnight with tubs of paints on top for pressure.
then the liner was cut and siliconed over the window section, and the window hole cut with a knife carefully not to scratch the glass.
the left over liner was tucked under the wooden with plenty of silicone.

The 2xbioforce 9000 filters are installed below ground in 2 holes. access to these is via a cut away section of decking that can be lifted up like a hatch.

I understand that the construction was a lot more indepth than the brief above, so if you have any questions about the build, I would be more than happy to answer

Hi Hankn,
The total litres are approx 6000, which is about 1300 gallons.
The pump feeding the 2 filters in serial is a Hailea HX-6840 5000 L/ph Water Pump.
Ive not determined the total cost so far, it scares me to think about it. As the cost would be for the entire garden make over.. ill have to figure out how much just the pond was and repost.

Very nice build, looks great and Welcome to MFK
