Here is a snipit from the page link below...

"Nutritious garlic naturally strengthens your fishes' resistance to parasites, fungi, and bacteria - enhances everyday food to entice even the finickiest eaters".

I don't have any issues with my fish feeding (they do that quite well all by themselves), but I guess my question is this - is the claim of "strengthening" the fishes' resistance to parasites, fungi, and bacteria a true one?

Here's the product link:

Any insights would be appreciated.

I dont know if it actually makes them healthier, but my fish go nuts when I soak their food in it. I use it once or twice a week as a treat. They have always been healthy, so I dont know if it helps or not. I cant see how it could be bad! lol

How do you do that? Do you use liquid garlic extract? Do you buy it at lfs or at the drug store?

the stuff we have came from the LFS, after reading the ingredients I kicked myself for buying it when I got home. It's just garlic extract.

i use to have some ages ago. I think i soaked some krill to give to my channa maruliodes coz he wasn't accepting non live foods. I'm having a problem with my dat no. He isn't eating so i'm gonna have to go get somemore. Hopefully it'll make him eat freeze dried krill.

In humans garlic has natural antibiotic properties so I asume it would be the same in fish. Instead of buying it from the LFS get some pure garlic extract from a health food store, its alot cheaper. And remember, if you do saltwater it will make your skimmer go nuts.

my fish do go nuts over it but i think my fish are as healthy as they can be, i use it in conjunction with vitachem.

ill have to try that

we use garlic on a regular basis and it seems to keep everyone very healthy, of course the bigger the tanks the more they need ... but we even use it in the big tanks if nessasary..
