Can I use garlic as sort of like a dewormer? If so how can I use it?

I just bought my flowerhorn it's not sick or anything, it's actually very healthy, I'm just too pregnant cautious. :)

Just feed it New Life Spectrum Thera A+ pellets to give it more garlic. Otherwise use an actual dewormer like Levamisole and Praziquental.

Will Thera A do it, cause my lfs doesn't have a plus and what about using actual garlic??

Any reason you want to use garlic instead of medication?

Although the main component of garlic, allicin, seems to have possible antibacterial effect against enterococcus in humans, garlic itself has no known anti-parasitic activity.

I just don't want to stress the fish

I experimented with garlic thinking it would have enhance my fish's overall health. They hated it so I discontinued the idea. My lfs introduced me to this stuff. I mainly use it as a preventive for internal parasites. I know all too well, the first sign of that stringy white poop is bad news. Not sure if this is readily available everywhere, but seems to work for me. My fish doesn't seem to like it but is forced to eat it after not having anything else to eat in 2-3 days.

Will visit my lfs today and check if it's available. For now I'm soaking his food in garlic extract.
