I've seen a lot of people on here recomend garlic oil to help with fish's appetite, help with infections, and a few other things. My question is, how is it used? Is it added to the water? Soak the food in it? How much should be used at once? How often should it be redosed? Also, is it something you get at the grocery store? I can't find anything like it at the LFS.

Anyone know about this stuff?

I add it to my frozen food while unthawing in water.

If you get garlic oil, make sure you get some that is safe for human consumption, like Young Living Essential Oils. Garlic is obviously safe for human consumption, but the final oil product may not be depending on how it's distilled or whatever.

Nice. Thanks for the tips.

Kent Marine makes a garlic oil. It was recommended to me by Liz.(At least garlic oil was...not by Kent Marine) It is a fantastic product. It's how I got my LMB to accept market shrimp. He has also ate pellets...once...only once.

I have Garlic Guard, which is pretty good stuff... I soak pellets in it every once in a while and feed them to my goldfish as treats.

Ok, I finally found garlic oil. The only dilemma is that it also has vinegar in it. Does anyone know if this is good/bad for fish? It was the only one I can find.
