Gars and Bichirs????

Greetings Gar lovers!!!!


I'd like to ask if Gars and Bichirs in a aquarium would be ok. Who would probably be the aggressor?

i have them togather. gar on top, bichirs on the bottom. no probs

My nickels worth if you mix the two remember gars tend to be large so you'd need larger species of bichirs-Anne

Ive seen them togather plenty of times like messiner sed, bicher on bottom gar on top, no problem

its no problem, ones mostly going to be on top (gar) and the other in the bottom (bichar)

What's the maximum size of a gar (long nose & alligator)

wild longnose can get to 6ft+, alligator gar even bigger. not sure how fast or how big a longnose will grow in aquarium, but you can bet on the alligator growing big very fast.
