hey everyone i was wondering if 1 rtc [red tail cat fish], 1 Florida gar, 1 peacock bass and 1 silver aro could get along with out killing each other

hey and i know they get big but please refrain to the question not about how big of a tank they need

RTC could end up eating the gar. Peacock bass might outcompete the gr with feeding. Also with the aggressive feeding behaviour of the peacock it can spook the gar which can lead to a broken back. The silver aro is not really recomended, it works for some but not for others.

The growth rates of the fish also have to be considered. Too much size difference will result in predation. In short not a good mix.

Overall not a good combo for the florida. Would advise giving it a miss

Some people have made each of those combos work but it would probably require an overstocked tank or huge fish for each species. Peacock bass can be too aggressive for gars, RTC and gars might try eating one another if not similarly sized (gar should be bigger as RTC can eat pretty much its own body length) and silver arowana's and gars have a tendency to not work out. Black aro's are less aggressive usually but there is still no guarantee of success.

Try at your own risk.
