how big would a florida gar need to be to eat 2" sunfish...my gar is 10" and it can't eat them...i can get thousands for free as food for it but how big should it be to eat them?

The problem with sunfish as feeders is that they're very tall fish. Gar have a hard time eating fish like that, since their jaws only open so wide. You'd need to get really young/small sunfish to use them as feeders for a 10" gar. Figure 1" long or less, probably.
i tried to find some but i keep getting 2" ers but how big do you think the gar should be to eat a 2" sunny
it tore some up and tryed to eat some and let them go after the first bite....it was sizen them up and lookin at them sunnys hard though...
