Hell everyone. My three gars are finally eating Cichlid Gold Pellets, and they love them. I have a 7 inch longnose that has eaten just about everything that hits the water ever since I've had him, including but not limited to; bloodworms, fish flakes, live feeders, krill, live blackworms, and some small bala sharks. I wasn't surprised when he ate them right away. I have had my larger longnose and large forida gar on freeze dried krill for a while, and they love that, but it took me a couple of months to get them to accept the krill. I was very happy to see them take the pellets right away. Thought I would just share my excitement with you all. Please comment if you know of any good pellet brands and there effects on the gars' behavior, color, and/or health. It would also be nice if you could include the expense for that brand of pellets. Thank you!

Has garlic and many color enhancing compounds! Very healthy!

I don't use the thera A for my gar.. not a bad idea. but i do use their large fish floating formula, ive had great growth and over all health in combination with goldfish and nightcrawlers. iir the regular formula is abot cheaper then the thera A lone but not by too much. I buy a larger container ( lasts my guys monthes) for like 15-20$
