Gars at Bass Pro Shop, Clarksville, IN

I was at the bass pro shop in clarksville indiana today, and they've got a few gars. The species I think I identified (i'm still an amateur at this) were Florida/Spotted, Shortnose, and Longnose. I think they had 7 gars, but it was hard to spot them all in the big tank. I got a pic of what I think is a shortnose (very few spots, located only around tail area) and some longnose gars (lots more spots, with VERY long snouts). there were also some florida/spotteds in there as well, but couldn't get pic's of them.

The fla/spotteds were about 2' long, the shortnose about 2' long, and the longnose between 3' and 4' long, i think.

nice! where exactly is clarksville. Im in lafayette. that would be worth going to check out.

clarksville is 4 miles north of the ohio river on I-65. Just up the road from louisville, where I live. I believe its off exit 4. The Bass Pro shop has signs pointing the way.

They also have bass, bluegill, an America eel I've never seen before, catfish, crappie, a pike or walleye, don't remember which, some drum, and a couple of bowfin.

It's down near the IN/KY border. It's worth the trip. It has an awesome restaurant.

Thanks for the info. I go to Louiville once a year or so. I will definatley have to check it out!
