i recently got 2 florida gars, currently both about 4-5inches and in a moderate to heavily planted aquarium. they seem to have difficulty getting around the plants... any of you guys have this problem? should i be removing my plants?

yup. my 15"er gets stuck in my water sprites and uproots them all the time. but he likes to nestle down and sleep in the planted region of my tank so I don't remove them.
thanks for the reply.. i just moved the plans around to make more space between them. they struggle very seldom now and they do sure love resting beside/near the plants.
My gars uproot all plants I have had in the tank. My next tank will be planted but I am working out a rock bed to hold the plants down.
