This is a "FT" post, but will pay for the right tank. Low budget here, with a nature classroom.
I have a bunch of gars that are now too big for their 75, so I need an upgrade - I've never had an aquarium bigger than a 75, so I will entertain any ideas, or offers for anything bigger than a 75. I normally build my own stands, so one is not necessary.
I'm in Mass, but willing to drive up to 4 hours for the right deal. For trade, I have miscellanous HOB's, covers/lights (can be seen in my FS thread), and/or rare/unusual tropical and perennial plants. (You never know until you ask!) I do also have a bunch of smaller tanks, and some submersible heaters.
In the past I've simply built homemade ponds for big fish, but want the kids to enjoy the fish in a tank.
I prefer acrylic, because of the weight factor, but glass is fine. I can customize my own hood/light, if you have just the tank.
No leakers, No chipped tanks - I cannot afford a potential disaster in the classroom.
Thanks!
