IN YOUR HEAD
my wife is from there and i will be going there soon. i was just reading about trops in el salvador and that got the wheels going. were are they located there? would there be a chance i could get some that i catch back to the states legally? any info would be great, as i would love to get some for myself aswell as get some for others.

i am going to be researching this everywere i can. hoping that you guys got some advise to get it done for all our benifits as i know that i am not the only one with trops on the 'to get' list.

Just end that one now as the costs would out weight the benefits.. Been there and done that in trying to figure that out. Cost per fish and the associated import costs are astronomical and just not feasible. If you go there though and catch a few do take some pics though as that population is one of the more unknown.

damn. i knew there would be import fees, but i didn't think they would be to high, but i trust you. i will deffinately try to catch some and get some pics. if i do manage to find some, could you guy use some 'samples' of scales or finnage or anything like that for research?

i would have my work cut out for me as i would have to be on my own, since my wife thought there wasn't any fish of any kind in the country at all.

also soon is general. within the next year or so.

i'm going to el salvador this summer . my wifes family is from there . i hear the saltwater fishing is good , haven't heard anything about freshwater . i'm not really interested in bringing anything back but i really want to go fishing down there . what have you found out so far ?

about what was already stated. i may have to fill my carry-on suitcase up with water and a few other things. otherwise i will have to pay more to get them in then i could buy one from someone here already.
