Gars sitting on bottom?

I see a lot of gars that just seem to sit on the bottom of the tank. Is this considered normal behavior?

My gar is either at the top or lying at the bottom. That's what they do.

My GAR (20 cm) usually floats to the surface. When the feed is so well is near the bottom.

usually doesn't matter johnny, unless you're noticing other erratic behaviours (constantly rubbing against the glass) it is typical gar behaviour

My spotted lays on the bottom all day, then comes to top at night. my alligator never lay's on the bottom, he's either floating on the top, or hes hanging vertically in the java ferns. He's a young of the year, so he's pretty small still.

mine generally is at the bottom at night unless he's coming up for air, mine swims around a lot actually but i don't think that there is anything wrong with that.

I noticed my 2 "sleep" on the bottom taking turns during the day then at night I can usually find both of them side by side.
