My water here comesfrom the great lakes and we have a high concentration of gasses in our city water supply in the winter so i've been using the python to help break this gas down but i think its not enough i think its been the cause of my recent plec deaths I've had my water tested and the heavy metals are within the safe zone.

today i tryed something new i put my 900gph powerhead in the tank and directed the water to the intake it chopped the water up very well but i'm concerned the miniscule bubbles of gas could be more deadly then before?

I also am going to make a inline filter when i refill the tank which will consist of a carbon chamber and a micron filter will this be sufficient in breaking down the gas in the filling process ?

How much water are you changing at one time?

okay heres my situation i have enough hardware for one or the other a micron inline filter or a carbon inline filter wich on would be better for seperating the gas from the water on filling?

If it's gases you're concerned about, and not metals, you can store your water for 48hrs before using it in your tank. A water storage tank with a powerhead (no venturi), heater, and dechlor will help rid the water of gases. If you're also worried about metals, this setup will work just fine with an in-line carbon unit and metals separator. It's what I use on my storage tanks. The filter elements are good for 5000gals.
