One of my peacock bass is breathing so fast and gasping for air on water surface, it is definantly abnormal, what should I do to treat this problem?
+1^^^^or if you are feeding live possable parisite.IEther way clean water and higher temp with good aration++++++ado124;4031436; said:NOOOOOOOO plug the heater back. 82* is fine. do you have air stones in the tank? just because your water is crystal clear doesn't mean its perfect. what are you nitrates/nitrites/ammonia levels? how much water do you change with each WC? what's your filtration? sounds like you just need to add more aeration into the tank.
Just to give an Idea I have six bass in a 70 growout cannister pushes 380 gph and two power heads at 150 gph one powerhead with the air full on and the bass love it!!!Dominator;4031511; said:I feed non-live, ya i am thinking its caused by the lack of oxygen, and no i don't have air stone in there.
wow that tremendously boosts your electricity fee. I already added an airstone to the tank and my peacock bass doesn't look right(I can grab it with 2 fingers), I believe it will die within 24 hrs.HULON;4031523; said:Just to give an Idea I have six bass in a 70 growout cannister pushes 380 gph and two power heads at 150 gph one powerhead with the air full on and the bass love it!!!
