GATF Bashing Pbass?

So i kind of snuck downstairs today to see my 6" gatf bashing the crap out of my 6" pbass.

This was the reason that i got rid of my vatf a few years ago

Anyone have experience with this behavior? My gatf and bass are by themselves in a 350 gallon.

It usually the other way around. My ATF would just run up on the pbass and stop and turn around
And swim away the pbass on the other hand would run up on the ATF and nip at it. They were the same size. The ATF is by its self now.

I'd say add some dithers that way the aggression is spread out

Yeah, I had pbass and ATF it didn't work out. That's why I sold my pbass to you remember? lol

mines worked out and they were best friends lol until i got an army

Agreed, i got rid of my bass too, knowing my Goliaths were going to become feeder fish with how fast the bass were growing ... dont know what to tell you Trev, other than you got an aggressive Goliath, which i think is better than a timid one

What if you were to add a huge fish? Like one of those Balas? Would be a great experiment!!!

Some of the aggressive fish I have seem to become less aggressive in the presence of a much larger fish. I think if it's big enough the aggressive fish gives up on the idea of being able to take over the tank.

I think my balas would eat the gatf. I may go to the lfs and see if i can find some sds or med size balas.

Im not sure what kind of bass i have but its a super slow grower like my atf. I thought my bass would be huge by now...

Looks like dithers are the solution

Ha ha i didnt rely want to buy any more fish.... Im gonna have more pups to feed soon and thats all i need is more mouths to feed lol but looks like thats the route im gonna have to go
