The deep south
Have somewhat of a rescue coming my way tommorow from a friend and im weighing my options. I have a bit of space in my 650 and this GATF is 12-14" coming out of a standard 210. Im in no way worried about the GATF's agression, i'm curious if he can hold his own against 3 12-16" P. Bass, and 3 20-30" aros. theres plenty of room for him to get away, but my 30" aro is good for mouthing most all the tank mates so itell happen eventually. Should i hold the GATF back in a smaller footprint even though hes getting stressed in a 210 or give him the chance to hopefully have a growth spurt and hold his own? Never been an ATF guy but i am usually the guy people turn too for help in these kinds of situations. GATF is 3 yrs old and id feel pretty bad if he got chomped immediatly.

He may not make it with those guys

Agreed, you never know until you try, but i dont think the ATF will be able to compete with those guys

I don't see why he'd be so stressed in a 210 at 12", that's a decent amount of space (at his current size) to not be cramped. Do you have a similar sized tank that he could go in for now until he gets a little more size? Is he not doing well in his current tank due more to the size of the tank, or possibly tankmates (or a high traffic location)?
