Just wanting to show some of my old pics of my Goliath b4 I sold it. His victims include the following tankamtes, 1 rhaph 6'', 2 boulengerella sp. 6'', and a yellowtail cuda 7''. I would walk into the garage and find these fish split in half and the back half missing. Tank is 210 gallons 7x2x2. Everone should consider the shear ferocity of this fish b4 purchasing. He was about 11'' when i sold him.

it was raping my tank, too problematic. It was gonna come down to keeping him and letting everything else go. Plus, my tank was not big enuff I'd say most people that keep atf cant house them long term including myself. I do have 4 fatf which are more tank friendly, goliath is just a pure beast and an extremely capable predator.
 
Seems like a solo fish kinda tank is needed. Sweet pics. How big of a tank would you need to house them forever?

800+ gallons would be my guess. theres info on the sticky about this. i wouldnt say he needs to be solo, but with fish of equal size and presence. In other words fish that are not easily cut in half, lol.
 
Hope it didn't rape the odoe pike...I like them better.
