GATF for life tank size....?

130 x 37.5 x 36.5, 766 gallons

130 x 48 x 36.5, 981 gallons

130 x 54 x 36.5, 1104 gallons

Obviously, bigger is better, but I want to know if I'll be ok with the 766 gallon tank. The 11 foot by 3 foot footprint is huge, but I'm not sure if it's quite enough. I'm hoping I can get away with the 766 because it's an off the shelf size, the other two would be custom made and MUCH more expensive. I know all of the literature says 900 gallons, but it doesn't specify a footprint. What is a good footprint for these guys?

If its tight financially why don't you reduce the height and opt for a larger footprint as thats what is more important for a fish of this nature

Don't have any experience with GATF but all fish will benefit from the extra width. Basically all will hold the same fish, plus additional swimming room for the fish and additional water volume which can help with water quality.
