GATF Pellet

i'd say it depends on whether he's been trained to eat from the surface, or sinking food. Carnivore sticks or massivore pellets are both great and i have seen GATF's eat both... just not mine yet! lol! hopefully soon...

They will eat from the surface and mid waters when pellet trained.

I started mine off with freeze dried krills, then Hikari stick (float). Some even eats Hikari Cichlid Gold sinking medium pellets now.
 
your 7"( i measured the slightly larger one before i sold it at 8" your old vatf was actually 9" and some change;)) gatf ate hikari foodsticks and another pellet off the internet i will get the name of it. that would be the best for it anyway. i am sure it would take massavore with a little time. dont forget about shrimp and fillets.

edit: the others were from arthur aquatics. i got the highest protein floating pellet in a 50lb bulk for lime $80 shipped to my door. well worth it!
