My GATF has shed his teeth once before, and they just got all snaggle looking and then came out and new ones came in... this time his mouth has gotten all red and swollen. I've heard of this happening before, but I just hate to see him like that. It looks painful. He is still eating as of yesterday, and other than appearances he seems to be doing fine. Is there anything I can do for him? Does it look worse than usual? Or will he be OK in a few days like last time? Someone help reassure me please or point me in the right direction on what to do if it is serious. There is a possibility that he injured himself on the tank, but its pretty even all the way around his mouth which is why I believe it is his teeth shedding. Thanks for the help! Oh and just to throw it out there, temp is a solid 83, parameters are all good, good steady stream of water through the tank, etc.

Mind over matter... I don't mind, so it don't matter.

Normal teeth shedding process... i wouldnt worry about it ... give it 2-3 days and i'm sure it'll be better

Mine looks like this after he sheds and he's cutting his new teeth.

OP, on a side note: combat medic?

He looks better today. I just got worried about him and his chompers. :D

And yes. Combat medic.

Awesomeness. Its too cool to see another troop who keeps these fish!

My GATF is my baby. I know how you feel! I get worried about him really easily.

this is happening to my Goliath right now, seems just his left side but its kinda cool and comforting to read this thread as he's my first Gatf. thanks
