GATF Tankmates?

I saw the other thread talking about tank mates but the thing is, I need to get him accustom to living with aggressive beasts as hes currently only 4" and in a growtank with some plecos and will be going into a larger tank with 12"+ predators..
What size should i introduce him and what tank makes should I be putting with him in the grow tank in the meanwhile? Any info appreciated thanks guys!

I would wait until he's around the same size as the other predators. GATFs can be nervous and skittish.

Right now I think peaceful tankmates are fine, might want to add giant danios or barbs, once it is bigger it can handle itself with predators.

No problem. The danios/barbs are confident fish that will lead by example and show the nervous GATF that all is well. The fish also show the GATF what to eat, again leading by example. Also, these fish are fast enough to run from the GATF if it is ever aggressive towards them.

Ha, if the GATF decided to catch a barb or danio there's no way they're going to out run it.

Not really eat it, just grow angry at it. Of course they will survive until they are small enough to be eaten.
