Gatf & tatf- new pickup

Day two and the gatf is really wearing down his nose?? Should I try to do something?

I have had the tatf for a month now and has never rubbed his nose. Have about 1300gph going on in tank, no aggression between the two that I've seen, tank is a 65 gallon.

Could be anything making him nervous... I wouldnt sweat it. He will calm down just try not to change anything, keep everything the same and he will adjust

Add a little salt for his sore. But adding decor such as gravel/sand, drift wood, some fake or live plants should definitely make him feel more comfortable. Maybe some dither fish would help too but he should eventually mellow out.

I'd say this is quite common with ATF's .... firstly I'd say keeping the lights off for a day or 2 should help, and covering the back and sides of the tank should block the reflection that's making him freak .... also time and allowing him to adjust to the new tank should help, as well as maybe putting a soft plant on either end of the tank could possibly help ... I'd also say the size of your tank is not going to help this problem, as it is def on the small side, I'd be looking for a larger tank in the very near future

Thanks guys. He seems to be calming down already. No fighting between the two. Lights have been off whole time, tank has black bottom and black back, also has a large fake plant.
Tank is temporary or course as it is a grow out/quarantine tank.
