I think it would look really cool and would like to try it. My GATF is 6" right now, so I was thinking of stocking my 300g with haps and peacocks (still in the researching stage of African cichlids) and adding the GATF when it is 9-10"+ and acclimated to a higher PH. I'm not worried about the tiger eating or punking the Africans, but am worried of the opposite. I know they hail from very different parts of Africa.
Thoughts? Anyone have prior experience with this?

Thanks guys!

BTW, plan B is stocking the tank with mormyridae, odoes and O. tanganicae on top of my GATF and endlicheris.

I would highly advise against a goliath with any type of cichlids. That combination just will not end well for either fish in my opinion. A GATF with bichirs could be a good pairing. As the goliath gets larger any mid water swimming fish would either become a victim or could spook the goliath causing him to smash into the side of the tank.

I keep my Goliath Tiger Fish with just one tank mate...a False Tigrinus....the Tiger pays no attention to the bottom feeder

Interesting. Is there any documentation of this? Or more of a guess from personal experience/observations?

Thank you guys for the insight

Observation : my Goliath only feeds at night. If have never actually seen him feed. The feeders are just gone in the morning. I tried placing larger fish with him of various types: he eats the tails and about the last 1/3 of their body then leaves the dying 2/3 to float around the tank in agony. He ate the tails off the blue crayfish, however has ignored the False Tigerinus. I expect however to find a chunk of flesh missing from the cat sooner or later. I believe the GTF is a "species" only fish and really will thrive best on live because it's their nature to consume live.
