im planning to build a plywood tank, but was wondering if there were any rules of thumb on this topic. I would like it to be a 200 gal tank. what should the thickness of the plywood be? Which method of sealing the inside would be the best? (fiberglass, paint....) Lastly how thick does the glass have to be and instead can you use acrylic?

Thanks

Epoxy is your best bet for sealing the tank. Go to http://www.garf.org/ and the DIY page has directions for building plywood tanks including plywood and glass thickness.
