I jsut added my 1.5' gator gar to my 180 with my 2 large arows. Since i have added him he has started to change color. Alot darker, almost black. She has always been the normal like kind of green and spots stand out, but ever since i put her in the big tank she is so dark that you can't even see the spots as clean. Im guessin its stress or soemthign from the new tank stressing it, but she seems fine. Swims around with no troble and the fish get along fine. Maybe there is somethign im not aware of or jsut give it some time. thanks

No need to be concerned this is rather normal for captive A. spatula and does not seem to be caused by stress or ill conditions. There is some evidence it has to do with diet and the fish being in good health rather than any other factor.
