really slowing down? in discussions with richard (brooklamprey) about this sort of thing, we came up with around 3-3.5' outside of really large public aquaria, but count on them to continue growing. and that is a THICK fish, as gators are thicker than any of the other species at a given sub-adult size. there are of course always exceptions to this sort of thing, but if you have YOY (young of the year) fishes and they are growing steadily (and not stunted) then count on them to keep growing for a while!--
