hey franxzm, hats off to you. It puzzled me for quite some time whether my gator would bit my finger when I fed him. Your vid demonstrates that gator are not smart enough to distinguish between real food and a finger. I will be very careful next time I put my hand in the water.. and my friends, that is called sacrificing for the greater good. again .. salute ...

Hmmm...I wonder if the gar ever recognized the paint on the finger.lol Nice dare though.;)

i think to do somthing brave, you either need great courage or minimal cognitive abilities, don't think it's that hard to say where this falls into.

thought we were trying for a informative, progressive and intelligent community here...;)

no need to get all upset. You can't say this vid is not informative. I mean how often can you see a gator gar strikes outright and actually bites a human being. It is like if you want to find out the parameters of a car, it is better to do a crash test than doing a hundred calculations on paper. I would say I learn more about the behaviour of gar from watching this vid than reading a hundred threads. :grinno:

that video is so cool man thats so awsome. words cannot describe how awsome that is

honestly, the gar is not striking out at a "human being". it is essentially striking out at the tip of his finger, which is roughly the same size as a feeder..if we've seen that once we've seen it a thousand times...how that is informative, really depends on an individuals mind. i think we have learnt much about the universe from calculations...how about teaching kids about the effects off an atom bomb by blowing them up. if your last statement is true, i am honestly just very sorry for you...

You guys need to calm down please! Let's not derail the topic.
