gator tank mates??

im planning on getting a pool/pond. the dimensions are 24'12'4'. im planning on getting a gator gar for it. and wondering which tankmates would work. i was thinking a RTC. but i want opinions/advise before i do it.

general rule is dont put in anything you wouldn't be to lose. possible tankmates are huge fish, arapima...big full sized cats and even they might get eaten or killed.

thats what i was thinking. i want to get them at around 6 or 7". and grow them out while im in the process of getting the pond ready. just how big does a TSN get i might consider one of those to. arapima would be kool. but im still thinking about it.

cant remember i think at those sizes, the cat will outgow them in terms of body mass and might kill/eat them. but after a while the gator will surpass the cats and will attempt to eat/kill em.

i would worry more about providing proper housing for the fish you currently have before you jump into fish like the ones listed above...that 75 is far too small for the stocklist within it (i'm sure you have plans for a larger tank though).

yes im in the process of getting a larger tank for the ones in my sig.
im not jumping into the pond. it will be a few years before i start the pond. im just getting info for it.
