can you please post pics of your tanks? Will they do better with sand? I just took all the pebbles out of my 55 and want to go planted ......what type of filtration is needed what type of steps should i follow and what type of lighting should i use? I plan on putting some gauchas in there?

mine prefer sand, they like to burrow under rocks into the sand, they like still water, with cover

I really don’t want to sound like a boring %$^* but you need to get some form of support for that tank like a large peace of marine ply as the pressure of the water will try to buckle that tank

yeah, I dont mean to criticize either, but I wouldnt want you to lose a tank and all the snakeheads, not to mention the mess that will take weeks to dry out.
