Dear fellow Monsterfishkeepers,

I think that one of my little mosnters is sick :( I have two gbrs, a male and a female. My tank was on the verge of crashing recently because someone took very poor care of it over summer. When I transferred the tank back to my place, I must have removed too much of the good bacteria and put too much stress on the fish. Anyway, things seem to be pretty much stable now. The only thing I can observe now is that the male gbr has white, somewhat stringy poop, and very often, several times a day. It looks like there are individual pieces of normal poo incased inside of a long white/pale thread-like...casing? I dont know how else to describe it. I've read around and it seems like it might be a bacterial infection? Does anyone know what it is? I have some German chemical by Sera called Baktopur, that I was considering dosing up the tank with. What steps would I have to follow for this, other than what is on the packaging? I have a fluval u2 filter, so I would take out the carbon pads and let them soak in a bucket of tank water for 24 hours while it runs through, so I don't mess up the bacteria balance any more. His (the male gbr) behavior is completely normal, and he seems fine, he's a voracious little moster. Please help!

Thanks in advance!
