I have a breeding pair of GBR in a tank at my grandmothers she wants more fish added and I keep telling her the babies may get eaten but I would ask around to see if any tank mates wouldn’t eat the babies

Possibly the pencilfish Nanostomus Eques.

If they breed, and you want to keep fry alive, just about any other fish are a problem

I agree with tlindsey, with N. Eques there is a reasonable chance that at least some fry might survive, especially if the tank is densely planted.
